For running between the mountains,
For restraining the water,
For inhabiting the barren valley,
For trusting,
For mothering,
For patience,
For teaching,
For loving,
For giving,
For accepting,
For sacrifice,
Hajer.
Root from dry earth,
Spring of life,
Matriarch of our Ummah.

She said: “Raditu billah (I am fully satisfied with Allah).” Then she asked:”Have you done this to fulfil Allah’s command?” When Ebrahim confirmed that by saying, “Yes.” She said: “Well in that case, we have no fear, for Allah will not let us perish without providing any assistance.” (Bukhari)

“Our Lord, I have made my family and offspring dwell in a valley that is barren by Your Sacred House, in order Our Lord, that they may establish regular prayer. Please Lord, fill the hearts of some among men with love towards them. Keep them fed with fruit so that they may give thanks. Dear Lord you know the secrets we hide and what we disclose; and nothing is hidden from Allah, neither in the earth nor in the heavens.” (Quran 14:37,38).
